Warranty

We provide a complimentary 1-year warranty via a third party warranty company, CPS. CPS also offers optional extended warranties between 2-4 years. For the first 30 days, day of purchase being day one, Western Mass Appliances covers the warranty, which includes parts and labor. The CPS warranty starts at day 31 and covers the rest of the term. If the internal function of the unit has any issues during the first 30 days, Western Mass Appliances will cover that warranty period. If the issue is caused by a third party or by the customer, the store will charge a $50+ service fee (depending on the situation.)
There is no warranty for ANY cosmetic damage as units are scratch and dent and sold as is in regards to cosmetic issues and or damage; this includes missing shelving/drawers or other parts that do not impede the basic function of the unit.

Warranty must be registered immediately following delivery of appliance, failure to do so will result in no warranty. 

Warranty Services:

CPS (this is the same third party warranty company that Lowe’s uses). $99 service fee per claim. Warranty includes labor and parts.

CPS will always attempt repair first. If the unit is found to be in non repairable condition CPS will replace it. If you do not care for the replacement, you will receive monetary compensation for the value of the replacement unit.

 

 Limited Warranty:

Each appliance is sold as is and carries a limited warranty Western Mass Appliances purchases from CPS Central beginning on the day 31 of purchase listed on the invoice. Customer must provide proof of purchase for warranty to be valid. Problems caused by improper use, improper installation or otherwise caused by a customer (such as clogged drain, improperly installed hoses or equipment, unleveled appliance, blown circuit breaker, etc.) will not be covered by Western Mass Appliances.

48-Hour Return Policy

  • Return must be initiated with Western Mass Appliances within 48 hours of delivery or the time of pickup at a WMA location.
  • Major Appliances - Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, ranges, hoods, dishwashers, over-the-range microwaves, cooktops, wall ovens, washer and dryer pedestals. 

*As is appliances are sold as they appear upon purchase, and may include cosmetic imperfections, including scratches, dents, missing shelves, scratched handles, etc.  This is why we are able to offer significant savings compared to retail. The customer is responsible for inspecting the appearance of the appliance and in purchasing are agreeing to appearance. It is also possible that in varied settings (i.e., the home) or in varied lighting (i.e. direct sunlight) some defects may be more visible. Refrigerator limited warranty covers cooling system only.  Ice makers and water dispensers are tested prior to sale but are not guaranteed under the limited warranty.

 

Pick Up: You are responsible for any damage or defect that may occur during the transport and installation of your appliance.

Limit of Liability: Western Mass Appliances shall not be responsible for any damage caused by appliance failure including, but not limited to fire, flooding, personal injury, death, damage to personal or real property such as spoiled food, or any other liability whatsoever.  The following is specifically excluded from warranty coverage: misuse, abuse, improper transportation, installation or operation of the appliance, the modification of any appliance, or damage to the appliance due to the negligence of the customer.

Cords: Many of our brand new appliances do not come with a cord, and in most cases it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they purchase the correct cord.  If your appliance comes with a cord, but the cord type is incorrect, it is your responsibility to purchase and connect the cord. Western Mass Appliances is unable to change cords at your home this is the purchasers responsibility.

Please keep your invoice as it is your proof of purchase and warranty.
